I have been having this same issue with this game now since I got my new laptop back in Feb of this year. At first every time i installed it and tried to run it i kept getting the message that i had to be the Admin in order to run this game. Even though in my setting it was set as the Admin. Next I upgraded to 8.1 only after seeing on Mircosoft's own site that it is compatible with 8.1 ( here is the link ) only to it still not work. Not instead of what was happening with the Admin thing, it's now telling me to insert the game disc.

Even when the game disc is already in the disc drive. I have already tried changing the compatibility setting to Windows XP, XP SP 2, XP SP 3, Vista, Vista SP 2, Vista SP 3, and Windows 7. It ran Great on my old laptop that had Windows 7 on it. If anyone out there can help me with this issue that would be great. Hi, think I can help with your issue, uninstall the game, after a reboot, insert your disc again, rather than press run exe go to your dvd drive and open the folder, find the set up exe and click on compatibility settings and set it to run xp mode.
When the game is fully installed go to the folder it is in and again click on compatibility settings when it opens slick on advanced options, then click on this program requires additional permissions, then click on run as administrator and save the settings. This should enable your game to run. To be fair I didn't experience any problems with the game until after the prologue, when I found I had to lower the screen resolution in the game to 1024x768 then it run without problems. Never seen a 'crack' folder in the game dvd., so have no idea what MR Rubdy is on about and suspect neither does he.
